The Mining Engineer’s Association of India, along with NMDC Limited, organized a two days National Seminar on “Mining Agenda for Future” on April 20 and 21 in the city.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr S K Sarangi, president of the Association in the presence of Dr B B Dhar, professor, Amity University and Prof. M A Ramulu, retd. prof. IIT, Kharagpur and NK Nanda, chairman, organizing committee and director (Tech), NMDC.

Nanda, expressed deep concern on the tough time that Indian Mining Industry is facing in the last couple of years and highlighted the agenda to be deliberated upon the two days event.

The seminar discussed on constraints in the growth process of mining industry, that included grant of mineral concession, mining and technical constraints, social and environmental constraints, CSR activities and others.

Each session was chaired by the experts and participants presented their view points on the issue.
