The next date of hearing on illegal mining activities by the Justice MB Shah commission has been rescheduled to April 19.

Earlier, the three-day hearing was scheduled to start from April 13. As per the rescheduled date, the hearing will start from April 19. The mining companies have been asked to deposit their action plan under the corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The Commission has given the responsibility to Subramanium for preparing a blue print for socio-economic development of the people living in a miserable condition in the mining areas of Keonjhar and Sundergarh district.

The senior counsel had proposed the commission for creation of a trust fund to be managed by trustees nominated from among eminent public personalities. A total of Rs 100 crore was committed as trust fund for the expenditure to be spent on various identified projects.
